Job Description


Position: Weekends Front Desk Clerk – Shifts Available 7-3, 3-11, 11-7

Job Description:

The Front Clerk is responsible for the cleanliness of the lobby area at the hotel.  Must present a personable and professional image.  Responsible for checking in and check out guests.  Assisting guests with travel arrangements ie. Cab, or shuttle to airport as well as assisting with general information.  Making and confirming reservations.  Showing up for scheduled shifts on time.

• Register and greet guests upon arrival.
• Maintain up-to-date information on the reservation system Visual Matrix
• Counting cash, and transactions at the beginning and end of shift.  Must be familiar with Excel, and debit card machine.
• Double check reservations to ensure that all front desk staff are getting the required information for reservations. (contact info, phone   number, billing information)
• Process bills, payments, and make any necessary changes for guests.
• Make and confirm reservations.
• Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
• Advise housekeeping staff when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning.

Required Skills & Abilities:
• Must enjoy working with the public, be friendly and outgoing
• Basic reading, spelling & grammar skills
• Knowledge and experience dealing with money and balancing till
• Detailed orientated and have the ability to multitask
• Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast paced environment
• Basic computer skills, familiar with Word, Excel
• Must be able to maintain a professional attitude under stress

A uniform for the position will be provided and required to be worn while on the property.
