Sioux-Hudson Employment Services
offers a Resource Centre for the public to access computers, resources and information to aid you in your job search. Additionally, you may wish to book an appointment with an Employment Counselor who can help you in your job search, career exploration and other employment endeavors. All services provided are free of charge and are confidential.

This Employment Ontario service is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario.

Employer Services

Are you looking to hire a new employee?

Perhaps you would consider hiring one of our clients who may be eligible for a wage subsidy incentive through Employment Ontario. This wage subsidy can help off set the cost of on-the-job training. In a tough economy you could save money and gain a great employee!*

 

Are you looking to sign on a new apprentice?

You might be interested in applying for the Apprenticeship Signing Bonus. This signing bonus can provide you (the employer) with up to $2000.00!*  For more information regarding wage subsides, please contact one of our Employment Counselors.


Are you looking for a way to give your team the skills it needs to succeed?

The Canada-Ontario Job Grant will fund, on average, two-thirds of a worker's eligible training costs, to a maximum of $10,000. You contribute the remaining costs, and employ the worker you train. For more information, contact an Employment Counsellor.*

 

Are you looking to hire youth?

Via the Youth Job Connect program, Employment Counsellors prepare youth for the workforce and provide ongoing support to both employees and employers.  Employers may receive financial incentives to hire and offset training costs.*

*All contracts between the employer and the funding agency must be signed before a new employee begins work. Approval is subject to budget availability and employee/employer suitability for participation.

  • Job postings on the world wide web are possible through Service Canada's job bank at www.jobbank.gc.ca
  • Applications forms for Employment Ontario and Service Canada programs and information about the programs

  • Participation in the election of officers at the Annual General Meeting
